About Me

DVM & EPIDEMIOLOGIST

I am a senior epidemiologist and public health consultant with over 20 years of international experience in infectious disease surveillance and health information systems. My expertise spans designing and evaluating health information and public health surveillance systems with a focus on respiratory infections surveillance.

I have assisted in the implementation of automated/EHR-based surveillance systems and conducted comprehensive evaluations of respiratory virus surveillance systems in Spain, Ukraine, Caucasus and Central Asian countries.

My international portfolio encompasses work with WHO, ECDC, and national public health institutes across Europe, Central Asia, and Africa, including emergency response deployments for COVID-19, Ebola, and Zika outbreaks. I regularly work with international organizations and pharmaceutical industry clients, conducting systematic and targeted literature reviews on disease burden, and market research. As a veterinarian, I maintain an interest in the One Health approach. My work also extends to animal welfare research through contributions with the Welfare Footprint Project on quantifying animal welfare in intensive farming systems.
